Hello there,
so if you hadn't noticed lately but there was a lack of submissions to this group. Which seemed such a shame as there are some wonderful mounts out there, after talking with Leopardpaws about this I've managed to change things so that submissions are now open to members. Each member is allowed to submit one image per week to make sure you only submit your best images and mounts ;) we'd love to see more pieces in this group.

So I am going to be soft mounting a coyote however this is my first time so I want to make sure I buy all my stuff from the best places to make sure there are no issues

Would anyone know the best places to get:
A head form
Ice blue eyes (I have found many brown ones)
And the poly fil (unless normal stuffing would work as well?)

Thank you somuch

For the head form, you can use either a rug shell form, a change-out head, or you can even buy a shoulder form and cut the head off. Depending on where you buy from, a shoulder form can cost about the same as buying a rug shell (i.e., Van Dyke's vs McKenzie). Change-out heads are nice but aren't always offered in as many sizes and so may require more alteration. With a rug shell you'll need to cut off the back portion of the form that extends beyond the head, which means sawing through some wood. This can be kind of tough without the right tools. Anyway, most of my experience is with McKenzie and Van Dyke's, but I know Joe Coombs also sells a change-out head that I haven't tried yet.

For blue eyes, go with Tohickon. For poly-fil... Walmart (lol).

I am looking to trade a black rabbit pelt, large black rabbit fur coat, coyote fur collar, and mink/weasel/ermine (not sure what kind of animal) vintage red stole, AND my beautiful Alaskan Red Fox pelt complete with all legs and feet. Not mountable and has some damage to the tail (falling apart) all this just for ONE fox soft mount. Anyone interested?

Did you try van dykes?

Yes, they don't have wolf change outs and I don't like the pedestal forms they have.
I'm going with research.
